“I loved my tattoo when I got it, but I’m at a point in my life now where I no longer care to have it. The MedliteTM laser was the solution for me.” MedliteTM Patient

Tattoo Lasers we use include:

VersaPulse® VPC with HELP-G: The VersaPulse® Cosmetic laser system combines four lasers in one system including three proven Q-switched lasers for pigmented lesions and removal of all tattoo colors and full VersaPulse-V with Help-G for vascular conditions
Medlite® II and Medlite® IV
(see technical descriptions at bottom of page)

For many, a tattoo is a permanent reminder of a temporary emotion. The MedliteTM Laser Series can make this permanent reminder disappear if regrets occur. Today’s tattoos come in all shapes, colors and sizes, HOYA ConBio offers a system that can help your patients. The high energy, pulsed technology allows the tattoo to be treated with minimal risk of scarring and less discomfort than other laser treatment. The MedliteTM is the laser of choice for advanced tattoo removal.

Dark Ink Tattoo Removal

Professional Tattoo. No previous treatment. Very good results with several 1064nm treatments and 532nm treatment on red. Suzanne Kilmer, MD &
R. Rox Anderson, MD
Massachusetts General Hospital

Treatment Specifications
Laser System: MedliteTM C3
MedliteTM C6
Wavelength: 1064 nm (infrared)

The Medlite’s long wavelength, short pulse duration and high peak power combine to optimally destroy dark chromophores with a very low risk of permanent tissue damage. Research conducted by R. Rox Anderson, MD and Suzanne Kilmer, MD at the Massachusetts General Hospital showed the 1064 nm wavelength to be excellent in the removal of black and dark blue ink, even in darker skin. The longer 1064 nm wavelength significantly lowers the risk of hypopigmentation when compared to lasers in 600 – 800 nm range, while the short nanosecond pulse duration limits the tissue’s exposure to heat build-up, therefore reducing the risk of scarring.

Red Ink Tattoo Removal

Treatment Specifications
Laser System: MedliteTM C3
MedliteTM C6
Wavelength: 532 (green)

Red tattoo ink is very common in professional tattoos. The 532 nm wavelength is ideal for the removal of red colored ink, which is typically resistant to removal with 600 – 800 nm light. Significant red ink removal has been demonstrated with just one treatment of 532 nm.

Green & Sky Blue Tattoo Removal

Treatment Specifications
Laser System: MedliteTM C6 With MultiLite Dye Laser Handpieces
Wavelength: 585 (yellow)
650 (red)

Today many different colors are showing up in tattoos, creating quite a challenge for the physician when the tattoo is to be removed. The 585 and 650 nm wavelengths provided with the MultiLite Handpieces gives the physician more tools in his/her arsenal for treating these challenging colors. The 585 nm wavelength is used to treat sky blue inks, while the 650 nm wavelength is used to treat green inks.

VersaPulse® C (VPC) with HELP G:

The VersaPulse is four lasers in one unit, including three proven Q-switched lasers (Q-switched ND:YAG, Q-switched Alexandrite, and Q-switched FD ND:YAG) optimized for all tattoo colors and pigmented lesions. Additionally, there is a high-energy, long pulse green (HELP-G) laser (variable pulse width FD ND:YAG) allowing for selective treatment of a wide variety of vascular conditions with minimal or no purpura (bruising). The high-energy, long pulse green (HELP-G) pulse width is adjustable form 2-50 milliseconds, which allows specific targeting of different diameter blood vessels. The longer pulse width minimizes and often eliminates purpura. The HELP-G allows treatment at larger spot sizes and higher fluences, which results in deeper penetration and more complete treatment. It offers solid state design that eliminates the need for dyes and ensures high performance, durability and low operating costs. A special chill tip delivery device actively cools the skin during vascular treatments, reducing or eliminating epidermal thermal damage. Both the VersaSpot F Chill Tip handpiece and the VersaSpot QS handpiece, used for delivery of all Q-switched wavelengths, have a unique spot-size sensing feature, which automatically adjusts fluence whenever the spot size is changed. The VersaPulse C has a touch screen display for easy selection of wavelength and treatment parameters.
